Conclusions:

Out of 40 malignant patients in the cohort:

  • pCLE detected 39 malignant patients in real time
  • index pathology detected 18 malignant patients

      • In terms of overall accuracy of the ERCP examination, the added value of pCLE was superior to that of tissue sampling

Conclusions:

  • Addition of pCLE is twice as sensitive as WLE alone
  • Addition of pCLE is 1.7 times more sensitive than WLE & NBI alone
  • Addition of pCLE improves PPV by 15% compared to WLE & NBI alone
